Candi Langmaid, Senior Manager of Clinical Affairs
Candi Langmaid brings over 27 years of extensive clinical research experience to Arete Biosciences. Candi's career has spanned various facets of the healthcare industry beginning in academic research at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as a Clinical Research Associate.
Candi then joined St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as a Clinical Research Coordinator, contributing significantly to the divisions of Solid Tumor and Radiological Sciences.
In 2007, Candi made a transition to the medical device industry, taking on the role of Manager of Clinical Affairs at Smith & Nephew and then Integra LifeSciences focusing on overseeing clinical studies for orthopedic devices. Candi then served as the Senior Manager of Clinical Operations at MicroPort Orthopedics.
With a diverse background in the healthcare industry, Candi ventured into the In Vitro Diagnostic space in 2016, taking on the role of Clinical Studies Manager at Luminex Corporation, and then at ThermoFisher Scientific, where she oversaw various assay studies for the company's IVD and Companion Diagnostic Devices.
Candi holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and earned her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
